Kenya

Kenya is an East African country renowned for its picturesque landscapes and vast wildlife reserves. Its Indian Ocean coast provided historically important ports through which goods from Arab and Asian traders entered the continent for many centuries. Along this coast, which is home to some of Africa’s finest beaches, are predominantly Swahili Muslim towns like Mombasa, a historic center that has contributed greatly to the country’s musical and culinary heritage. Inland are populated highlands famous both for their tea plantations, an economic staple in British colonial times, and for their variety of animal species including lions, elephants, cheetahs , rhinos and hippos.
