We always suggest travelers to arrive one day before the tour departure (DAY1). The accommodation on your arrival can be arranged by HT Agency Tours which is an extra cost.
With a packed lunch, we depart from Arusha for a two-hour drive through the Maasai steppe towards Tarangire National Park. As we enter the park, we will be greeted by a landscape dominated by majestic baobab trees emerging from the acacia parkland, forming a perfect backdrop for the large herds of African elephants that roam among them. Other mammals sharing this habitat range from lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and black-backed jackal, to Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongoose, impala, oryx Beisa, with steenbok and African hare.
You can also expect to see buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and waterbuck. The variety of birds we can see include the Maasai Ostrich, White-headed Vulture, African Scops Owl and the endemic European Starling. Have lunch in the park and later in the afternoon we will head to Karatu Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight.

We venture to the bottom of the crater to observe the inhabitants of this world heritage site up close and have a picnic. Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent game viewing all year round. Wildlife constitutes a permanent population here because pastures and water reserves are abundant throughout the seasons. There’s nothing better than waking up from a restful sleep to the sounds of the Serengeti. Once you have enjoyed your breakfast, the savannah dotted with acacia trees welcomes you to begin exploring its wildlife. It’s another day filled with safari adventures on African soil. By the end of this day, you will probably understand why the name “Serengeti” means “endless plains”. Later in the afternoon, you will travel to Twiga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day safari. The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large part of the park, flooded and dried with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and more than 500 other bird species. As you explore the park, you’ll see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants and, with any luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for the diversity of its landscapes: not only open grassy plains, but also forests populated by primates and cliffs dotted with baobab trees. After a long drive, you will return to Arusha.
