Kirindy is a transition zone between western dry forests and the southern spiny thickets. It includes:

  • 70% dense dry forest

  • Didiereaceae and Euphorbiaceae spiny thickets

  • Brackish coastal lakes

The park shelters an extraordinary 97% endemic biodiversity, including lemurs, birds, reptiles, and unique vegetation.
